A Second Chance can Save a Life

Our team here at the Stephen Owens Agency loves animals and we believe that man’s best friend should not be victims of neglect or improper care. We strive to be ambassadors for the animals in our community that need a second chance! Our efforts will consist of supporting local shelters by assisting them with day to day supplies and veterinary costs. With our campaign, we also hope to raise awareness for responsible pet ownership focused on giving our furry pals the best life possible. To that extent, we will be supporting the ongoing efforts of the Pender County Humane Society.

Some of the animals that have been helped by this life-saving non-profit were found under terrible circumstances due to no fault of their own but by their terrible owners. We believe that “euthanasia due to overcrowding can never be acceptable, and we are working to make sure every orphaned animal in our town that needs a new home and family is able to find one”. Our furry pals deserve a second chance in life, which is why we have selected to raise support for animals and awareness about animal cruelty and neglect within our very community.

About 2,000 animals are killed EVERY SINGLE DAY because their owners abandoned, neglected or simply surrendered them because they didn’t want them anymore. Our agency wants to take a strong stance in support of local no-kill shelters and adoption. Whether you are fostering a four-legged friend or simply making a donation to keep an animal rescue shelter animal off the ground, your action can go a long way. Join us!
